Visitors to the “Oldest Summer Resort in America” don’t have to hunt for a parking space or be concerned about the two-hour parking limit downtown this summer.

Jolly the Trolley now welcomes visitors at the Kingswood Arts Center on South Main Street, where there are hundreds of open parking spaces, and takes them Downtown where they can enjoy everything this picturesque Lake Winnipesaukee community offers.

Park ‘n Ride Trolley Shuttle runs between Kingswood Arts Center and Wolfeboro Railroad Station every half hour all day.

The new Park ‘n Ride continuous trolley service is offered by the Wolfeboro Trolley Company, owner of Molly the Trolley, which has been introducing Wolfeboro to guests with her narrated Hop On & Off Tours for 35 years.

“We want everyone’s visit to be hassle-free,” said Owner Kathy Fairman. “Whether you want to shop, dine, visit a museum, take a lake cruise or a trolley tour (Jolly meets Molly at the Railroad Station,) our goal is to make it as easy and as much fun as possible.

“That includes being able to get back to your car whenever you want,” she added. “Jolly returns to the Kingswood Arts Center (21 McManus Road) just as often as it heads downtown.”

That is every half hour when Jolly starts at 8 am with the last trip down at 5:30 pm. Jolly returns every half hour starting at 8:15 with the last ride back at 5:45 pm.

Molly the Trolley’s narrated tours leave the Railroad Station (32 Central Ave) at 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 and 2:00 and the Town Docks at 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30.

There are three kinds of All-Day Trolley Passes: Combo, which includes both trolleys (Adult $10,) Park ‘n Ride only (Adult $6,) and Hop On & Off Narrated Tour only (Adult $8.) Children 4-12 are half-price and kids under 4 ride free.

2020 Donations Received during Wolfeboro Family Shopping Days

Family Shopping Days in Wolfeboro not only encouraged spending with local businesses but contributed to L.I.F.E. Ministries Food Pantry and Wolfeboro Children’s Christmas Fund.

Presented by Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Family Shopping Days took place the second and third Saturday in December.  Due to the pandemic, the Chamber of Commerce was not able to hold its traditional Breakfast with Santa or Christmas Spirit Open House events that inspire donations.

Thanks to the kindness of many, the Chamber of Commerce was able to deliver a wonderful collection of toys to the Wolfeboro Police Department to be added to its Children’s Christmas Fund.

And with great generosity from local businesses and community members, $15, 276 was collected and given to L.I.F.E. Ministries Food Pantry.

“We greatly appreciate the holiday spirit shared in the Wolfeboro area community,” expresses Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mary DeVries.

Santa Lit Wolfeboro's Community Christmas Tree

Santa arrives at hut DSCN4118 (2).JPG

Santa Claus made a visit to Wolfeboro today! Santa and Mrs. Claus checked in on Santa's Hut, and then Santa used his magic to light Wolfeboro's Community Christmas Tree! Oh, and Santa had some tales to tell. You can check back here periodically to listen in.

Here is Santa Claus in Wolfeboro! CLICK to see!

Christmas in Wolfeboro

There is a lot to be excited about this holiday season!

Following a fun search, the 2020 Community Christmas Tree has been found! Wolfeboro’s amazing Municipal Electric Department will have it cut and put in place on Main Street. Once again it will be decorated with festive lights.

Santa Claus loves Wolfeboro and while there will not be a parade this year, he promises to again use his magic to turn on the lights at some point. A tree lighting ceremony will not take place this year.

And with thanks to Crowells Towing Santa’s Hut has been moved to its tradional spot in the park on Main Street.

While Santa tells us he is not able to hold planned visits with individuals this year, he looks forward to stops to collect letters written to him. There will be a box at the hut for children to leave letters. Santa will soon be checking his list! While at the hut, Santa tells us he has found a way to leave messages for all the Wolfeboro area families. The Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce will be sure to watch for and share those surprises from Santa with the public!

The Chamber of Commerce will place wreaths around town and so many businesses and homes will show the holiday spirit with lights, holly , sparkles and more! The area community is encouraged to consider family shopping days. Local businesses work harder than ever to be here for us and what better time to give them your business.

Vintage Boats Galore - And More

VINTAGE BOATS GALORE - AND MORE

It’s that time again in America’s Oldest Summer Resort Community when boats and boat- ing and all things lake life visibly exemplify the history and stories of life on New Hamp- shire freshwater lakes.

And nothing celebrates the lore of summer lake fun better than the New England Vintage Boat and Car Auction hosted annually in July by the Wolfeboro-based New Hampshire Boat Museum. It’s a not-to-be-missed annual event; a time to “ooh and aah”, experience the romance of a by-gone era and, perhaps, even take home a trophy from the collection of beautiful boats, cars, themed rustic furnishings and nautical memorabilia up for sale.

However, what has for the past 18 years in July been an exciting outdoor, under-tent event will be hosted differently this year with organizers hopeful that a global pandemic will not dampen enthusiasm among bidders forced to compete virtually in an Internet-based format.

VIRTUAL IS THE NEW NORMAL

This year, no bidding cards; no familiar auction tent. Instead, NHBM’s auction, set to be- gin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, will be strictly virtual, meaning auction registration, pre- bidding and bidding will take place online only at https://www.proxibid.com/New-Hamp- shire-Boat-Museum/2020-New-Hampshire-Boat-Museum-Auction/event-catalog/180675

Despite this year’s absence of in-person bidding, auction items can be viewed at the muse- um’s website www.NHBM.org , or, for those who want to “kick the tires”, live previews are READ MORE…
